My path to becoming a tour guide was far from traditional. I began my career in advertising and production in Sydney and quickly realized that the work didn’t fulfill me. Like many Australians, I decided to spend three months travelling through Europe, and as I moved from city to city, I was offered a guiding position. I accepted because I didn’t know what else to do, but I soon discovered that I genuinely loved the work. Although I had never been to university, guiding inspired me to pursue formal education, and I completed a Bachelor of Arts in History, Philosophy, and Politics by 2020.
