I have a special interest in history, spanning from Gallo-Roman antiquity through Gothic-Medieval times to the eventful French Revolution period and the dark days of the occupation during WWII. I also thoroughly enjoy working in the wonderful museums and monuments of Paris. If I had to choose a favorite place to work in, it would be Sainte-Chapelle: I never get tired of those amazing 13th-century stained glass windows.
Born in Chicago, Sean moved to France with his family when he was six years old. He was raised in Senlis, a beautiful Medieval town about an hour north of Paris that nurtured his passion for history. After high school, Sean came to Paris to study film and worked for a long time on movie sets as an assistant director. In late 2016, Sean decided to change careers, went back to school, and became a licensed tour guide in Paris. Sean feels at home in the City of Light, with such a wonderful access to culture, art, and history.
Ask Sean about his favorite corner of Paris, and he’ll instantly point to ĂŽle de la Cité—the city’s historic heart.
His absolute passion?
The Notre-Dame Cathedral & Sainte-Chapelle Tour, where he brings medieval Paris to life with infectious enthusiasm.
He loves sharing Notre-Dame’s remarkable resurrection story, explaining its legendary Gothic architecture. Furthermore he enjoys watching visitors’ faces light up inside Sainte-Chapelle, surrounded by 1,113 stunning stained-glass panels, because they transform sunlight into a kaleidoscope of colors.
For Sean, this tiny island represents everything magical about Paris: layers of history, architectural masterpieces, and timeless stories that captivate everyone from curious children to seasoned travelers.
Le Polidor is my go-to spot. This historic bistro has been serving classic French cuisine since 1845, and there’s something wonderfully authentic about it: the kind of place where you feel Paris hasn’t changed. I love the timeless atmosphere, the simple, comforting dishes, and that cozy buzz that makes you want to linger a little longer.

His expertise makes him particularly well-suited for travelers interested in art history, architectural heritage, and authentic Parisian storytelling beyond typical tourist experiences.
