I’m a French-Kiwi Parisian, and I’m passionate about the city I’ve called home for the past 31 years. My love of Paris history and all things Paris began in childhood and runs strongly in the family.
I first started guiding tours on and off around 20 years ago, but discovering food tours four years ago brought together everything I love: history, storytelling, wonderful food and sharing that passion with people from all over the world.
For me, Paris is a city best discovered through its neighbourhoods, hidden corners, fascinating characters and, of course, its extraordinary culinary traditions. I love bringing these stories to life and helping visitors feel a real connection to the city.
I’m also the proud mum of a ten-year-old boy who keeps me curious and constantly rediscovering Paris through fresh eyes.
Claire’s career has taken her on a fascinating journey through science, languages and storytelling. After studying animal ecology and behaviour, she originally planned to work in conservation in New Zealand. Instead, Paris stole her heart. Bilingual from birth, she trained as an English-language teacher, working with professionals and senior executives across diverse industries.
Her scientific background later led her into pharmaceutical and technical translation, eventually establishing herself as a freelance translator.
Her passion for sharing Paris emerged through hosting international visitors and pioneering live-streamed walks around the city on Periscope, attracting a worldwide following. What began as spontaneous explorations gradually evolved into professional guiding, where she now combines her curiosity, communication skills and love of Parisian history and gastronomy.
