I am a long-time Parisian with American roots. A tireless traveler, I spent time in Bolivia and in Southern Africa before coming back to Paris, where I have been living for the past fifteen years.
I love: sitting on the grass with a good book, grinding my coffee the old way, listening to Jazz in Parisian clubs. Apart from a guide, I am: a poetry writer, a passionate traveler, an enthusiastic though irregular yogi.
After studying business administration and working in project management for a few years, Ed figured that he had to change courses.
A people person with a love for history, he decided to become a tour guide. Ed now holds an MA in history from the Sorbonne University, as well as a national tour guide degree from the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts in Paris. He also took a wide variety of art history classes at the Ecole du Louvre.
Ed’s favorite tour is the Orsay Treasure Hunt, because it turns a world-class museum into a playful, story-driven adventure. He loves guiding families through the highlights amd keeping everyone engaged with clues, mini-challenges, and surprising details that make the art feel approachable. It’s the perfect blend of art, history, and fun, especially for kids (and adults) who want to experience the museum in a fresh, memorable way.
The classic restaurant of La Cantine du Troquet is Ed’s favorite Parisian bistro recommendations near Dupleix. This authentic neighborhood spot embodies everything he loves about traditional French dining. The characteristic Haussmannian building and intimate terrace create the quintessential Paris atmosphere. The restaurant is beloved by locals for its seasonal menu, quality ingredients, and welcoming ambiance. Located in a charming Parisian neighborhood near the Eiffel Tower, it’s perfect for lunch or dinner after exploring the area.
