There is a difference between visiting a city and truly discovering it.
Most people who come to Bayeux find the Tapestry, admire the Cathedral, and move on.
What they miss is the deeper story of a town that survived the greatest amphibious campaign in history, liberated on 7th June 1944 while its neighbours burned.
This private walking tour brings both worlds together.
Our guides are local experts : English-fluent, experienced across hundreds of private tours, and entirely focused on your group.
They do not recite facts. They read the room, follow your questions, and pace the day around what matters to you.
If the Cathedral holds you longer, you stay.
If a family connection to the Norman Conquest or the liberation opens into something deeper, your guide follows it there.
Along the way, you will stop twice at local pastry shop: Â because no walk through Bayeux is complete without understanding what Norman butter actually tastes like.
You will leave knowing the history. More importantly, you will leave having felt it.
